Accuracy

Verify before you rely on this. Facilities close, fees change, and equipment breaks. Every fact on this site shows where it came from and when it was last confirmed — check those dates before driving out of your way.

What the confidence bands mean

Each location and each individual fact carries a band: Unverified, Limited confidence, Good confidence, Verified, or Highly verified. The band reflects how well evidenced a claim is — where it came from, how recently it was confirmed, and whether anything independent agrees.

It is a measure of evidence, not a probability. "Verified" does not promise the dump station is open today. It means several independent sources, or somebody who was recently standing there, have said the same thing.

Blank does not mean no

If we have not been told whether a site has potable water, the page says nobody has told us. It does not show an empty column you might read as a definite "no". An honest gap is more useful than a confident guess, and this distinction is deliberate throughout.

Fees and opening hours

These are the two things almost nobody publishes in a machine-readable form, and we will not invent them. Where a fee or an opening time is missing, it is missing because no source states it — not because the site is free or always open. Assume nothing and call ahead where it matters.

A report from somebody who has been to a site outranks anything we imported from a database, and it is how the information here gets better.
